Raising Mighty Oaks
Any farmer knows this truth: mature, fruit-bearing trees aren't grown overnight. They must be planted, cultivated and nurtured to maturity. There is no guarantee that every sapling will reach maturity, but the ones that do produce 30, 60 or 100 times what was sown.

Malcolm was part of the first group of 4th grade campers who came to Op Camp in 2002. He was a high energy kid who found direction though this camp when he came to understand that God created him to be a Christ-like leader.

To hear Malcolm talk about what God has done in his life through Op Camp is incredible! As a High School Senior and veteran camper, and now as a staff member, Malcolm has become a highly respected leader. Students and adults alike admire this young man who is becoming a mighty oak for God. Like saplings cultivated and nurtured to maturity, Malcolm and students like him are becoming oaks of righteousness that bring honor to God.

Mission
The mission of Unlock Ministries is to change the lives of young leaders through a world class camp and year-round mentoring. Unapologetically Christ-centered, Unlock Ministries is intent on raising up leaders with high moral character, vision and skills that will make a dramatic difference in Midland and beyond. Over 150 student and adult volunteers make Op Camp happen every summer for nearly 300 campers! If you want to make an impact right here in Midland, please apply to join the team or contact the Unlock leadership team.
History
Op Camp started over 30 years ago in California. In the 80's, a group began going from Midland to take part in this special camp. As interest grew, these leaders eventually began a non-profit organization in 2002.  This summer, over 350 campers will attend Op Camp.  Our staff invests over 20,000 volunteer hours to make camp happen! It's an amazing story that God continues to write!
