Thank you for considering allowing your child to join our staff this summer. Their work is critical to our success and what they do is a big deal! Your involvement and support is critical to our long term success. If you are new to Op Camp, there is a parent information meeting: Sunday, February 26 from 2:00-3:00pm at Golf Course Road Church of Christ. If you aren't sure about your child volunteering at Op Camp this summer, come for a brief introduction to our Leadership Team and hear about our mission.
Thanks for your interest in helping us make Op Camp an incredible experience for young leaders! To apply, create an account and follow the directions below to the "Adult Application". All adult volunteers are required to do a background check and complete a sexual safety screening test to complete the application process. All adult staff must interview with the Director prior to being selected to join the team.
HS STAFF EXPECTATIONS
- High School students must be in 9th grade to serve at Elementary Op Camp & at Transition Jr. High camp. First year applicants may serve at Transition Jr. High camp if approved during the interview process.
- Attend Summit: the Staff Training Retreat on April 27--29 at Camp Butman.
- Raise $250 of support (We will go over this at the retreat and will assist you with raising support).
- Complete a state mandated safety training course and online test.

- Former campers are strongly encouraged to wait a year before applying to serve as staff members.
- Make home visits with your cabin leaders prior to camp.
- Attend Opportunity Camp: July 1 - July 6 or Transition Camp: July 22-27. Attendance and participation throughout the entire week is required, including travel with group to and from the camp.
- Mentor your "buddies" at camp & through the year a minimum of 1x each month (like a meal & activity).
- Be active in a local church in Midland or Odessa, TX.
- Be healthy physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally for camp.

Sex Abuse Safety Training
Confirmed Op Camp staff, we are changing the way we do the Sex Abuse Safety Training. Attendance at the Leadership retreat April 29-May 1 has never been more important. We will communicate the changes regarding this critical part of getting ready for camp.
