Thank you for considering allowing your child to join
our staff this summer. Their work is critical to our
success and what they do is a big deal! Your involvement
and support is critical to our long term success. If
you are new to Op Camp, there is a parent information
meeting: Sunday, February 21 from 2:00-3:00pm at Stonegate Fellowship. If you aren't sure about your
child volunteering at Op Camp this summer, come for
a brief introduction to our Leadership Team and mission.
Thanks for your interest in helping us make Op Camp an
incredible experience for young leaders! To apply, create
an account and follow the directions below
to the "Adult Application". All adult volunteers
are required to do a background check and complete a
sexual safety screening test to complete the application
process. All adult staff must interview with the Director
prior to being selected to join the team.
Requirements
- High School students must be in 9th grade to serve at Elementary Op Camp & at Transition Jr. High camp. First year applicants may serve at Transition Jr. High camp if approved during the interview process.
- Attend “Summit”: the Staff Training
Retreat on April 23--25 at Camp Butman.
- Raise $250 of support (We will go over this
at the retreat and will assist you with raising
support).
- Complete an online state mandated safety training.

- Make home visits with your cabin leaders prior
to camp.
- Attend Opportunity Camp: July 5 - July 9 or
Transition Camp: July 25-30. Attendance and participation
throughout the entire week is required, including
travel with group to and from the camp.
- Participate in monthly or weekly activities
with campers throughout the year like Op Champs & Champions
4 Christ (Jr. High).
- Be active in a local church in Midland or Odessa,
TX.
- Be healthy physically, spiritually, emotionally
and mentally for camp.

Sex Abuse Safety Training
Confirmed Op Camp staff, please complete your online 'Sex Abuse Training" by completing the following steps:
- Go to: www.campapplication.com
- Click on "Camp Butman" (Non-Methodist)
- Enter your full name
- Click on "Submit"
- Enter your name, email address and check the appropriate camp (Op Camp - disregard the session date)
- Click on "Submit"
- Read the information carefully and take the test. You will be notified if you have not passed the test. Otherwise, assume that you have passed it.
