Thanks to all of you who attended the counselor meeting Tuesday 6/17. CONGRATULATIONS to Katie & Jeremy Pugh. They each won an $25 iTune card. That is crazy-luck or a God thing.

We passed out our staff shirt, made posters for the campers arrival at Greater Ideal.

Many of you missed the meeting for various legit reason and some missed for no apparent reason. For those that missed......

Now you men and ladies should be completing your home visits. You should have completed the Abuse Awareness training and you should have mailed all your letters for fund raising. If you have not, do so ASAP.

Next we will meet at Greater Ideal Baptist Church Family Center on 301 S. Tyler St at 11:30. You need to have someone drop you off so your car will not be sitting around, unattended for a week.

We will welcome the campers and help them get situated and loaded on the buses.

Then we are off for a week.

Parents, the purpose of this website is to communicate with all participants of Opcamp. This year you will find a daily camp blog from Jack Gillett. intern, of the events at camp as they unfold.

All campers should receive a personal visit from the counselors within the next couple of week. They will introduce themselves and answer as many questions you, the parents, may have about camp. Please notify the office, 684-7540, if you son or daughter does not receive their home visit.

Postcards are being sent to 250 applicants letting them know that they are invited to to camp. If you do not receive a post card in the mail, you are place on a waiting list. If any of 250 students have other commitments for the week of camp and are unable to attend, we will replace them with the students on the waiting list.

Thank you for your understanding.

May 10th was the End of School Year Party and it was a Blast!!! We had free kites, food and we gave away a Wii and a iPod Nano. Congratulations to Serina Martinez, enjoying the Wii, & Angel Saenz, enjoying the nano.
